At the Drakenstein Veterinary Clinic, video endoscopy (a flexible imaging technique) is employed to provide real-time imaging of any organ that is being investigated within the gastrointestinal, respiratory or urogenital systems. This allows our veterinarians to confirm a diagnosis, collect a biopsy, monitor and treat disorders. Video endoscopy is quick, cost-effective procedure that can be performed on an outpatient basis and includes evaluation of the larynx, lungs, oesophagus, stomach, duodenum, bladder and uterus.

A high-speed treadmill is available for dynamic video endoscopy which allows for the diagnosis and treatment of upper respiratory disorders in horses.
